Ragihalli is a village in Anekal Tahsil, Bangalore. Its a nice place to visit if you are interested in Bird Watching and Photographing Birds.

Route to Ragihalli – Find your way to IIM Bangalore. Keep coming on the same road until you reach Bannerghatta Police Station on the left which is about 10Kms from IIM Bangalore. Take a left and keep going straight. Another 2.5Kms you’ll reach a small junction know as Ragihalli Gate.

Oriental White Eye

Turn Right. And just in a while you’ll start seeing birds. If you keep coming further you pass by Bannerghatta National Park forest area leading towards Shivanahalli. One has to be careful though as the entire stretch is the elephant crossing zone and you can hear the roar of Lions as well.

A lot of birds can be spotted there. The best place to look for birds is Wires and little open space.

You can spot a wide variety of birds. Specially the smaller ones are joy to watch, jumping here and there.
