I like this place going on and often because that’s the best bird treasure nearest to Bangalore. Traveling a distance of some 15 km, we reached into the area of valley school. Covered almost a distance of 2 km inside, we spotted a good number of birds in a less time. Bird of the day was Molted Wood Owl. A beauty of nature, color blended in a fantastic fashion.

Moving forward pair of Small Minivet were displaying the colors.

A high sound paid our attention, which turns out to be Gray Francolin.

Oh, what’s next – this was WOW. Sunbird in its eclipse plumage displaying the vibrant colors.

White browed bulbul was a treat to watch after long time. This fruit eater is very rich in Valley School.

House Swift was hitting the nest in 100’s. I don’t know the exact behaviour and why they were doing this but it was awesome to watch this B&W bird. Remembering on B&W bird, here goes the pied cuckoo.

Calls of Peafowl and Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher were also dominant, they we were not able to spot it. I am not sure that this white cheeked barbet is also into eclipse plumage. Have a look –
