Ever wondered what the best way of preserving your great-grandmother’s photo is? Or perhaps that Ravi Varma on your wall? Or perhaps a book that has been handed down generations that you now possess? Well, did you know that there is an Art Conservation Centre in Bangalore that can help you with exactly things like this?

INTACH Bangalore is pleased to announce that our next Parichay is on Art Conservation.

The Parichay will be led by Madhu Rani, Director of ICKPAC, the Art Conservation Centre in Chitrakala Parishath. Madhu Rani specialises in the conservation of works of art on paper, but she has also worked on the conservation of temple murals, oil paintings, manuscripts and plenty more.

The Parichay will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, 6th August, 2011, at ICKPAC.

If you are interested in art or if you are interested in heritage, if you are curious about what art restorers do or if you have any heirloom or artwork that needs care, this Parichay is for you. We encourage you to bring along to the Parichay whatever object or work of art you may have that you want to know the care of.

There is a fee of Rs 120 of this Parichay. Seats are limited so please do register in advance. For registrations and for more details, please email intach.blr@gmail.com.
