First of all, thanks to Geetanjali for showing us the path of one more treasure near Bangalore. Anekal Lake is a big lake and almost every variety of water bird is available at its edge.
Hoping to see a Post by Sushil soon.
First of all, when we reached we had the same expression .. oh same water birds, but I guess this lake give a better chance to explore water birds despite of the fact that water level was quite less.
Here goes some kingfishers, except white throated kingfisher, water is must for other two.
Common Kingfisher
Pied Kingfisher
White throated Kingfisher
Its a wow Lake where almost every water bird were visible. I loved to see Moorhen, Coot and Stilt. A lovely road side view to the lake, you keep on watching the birds and people will unnecessarily keep on doing “ppppp ppp pp pp ” 🙂 . Some pictures here:

Lot of fish were died at the side of the lake, don’t know the reason but neither human nor birds were interested in that.
